Many musicians in Limerick have some sort of connection with the Boherbuoy. Known across the city any county, the Boherbuoy Band is thriving in Ireland's wonderful Limerick City. And we don't just confine our playing to the Limerick area. We are well known in Clonakilty (Co. Cork), for their annual Band Competition (Winners, Intermediate Band 2003). We also play regularly in Clare and Tipperary. And in 1989 the Band travelled to Estonia. We are also planning a trip to France in July 2004.

We are annual partakers in The International Band Parade,and Recital Competitions around Civic Week (St. Patrick's Week) in Limerick. Although we are not officially a Marching Band, we like to keep on our toes and do some marching from time to time - Especially on St. Patrick's Day.

The Band is available for hire for concerts, etc. throughout the year. With our 150 year old music store we should be able to find anything you want!

Members of the senior band are involved with teaching youth members of the public. We have a junior band of 10, ranging in age from 9 to 14 years. As some instruments may cost a lot of money, the band supplies instruments for the young people to use. If you or your company would like to sponsor an instrument or the band in general, please contact us.
